The less common jobs

Specialist services

The work that needs particular gear or a particular ticket. Drain cameras and fault locating, pre-purchase inspections, backflow certification, solar hot water, minor dwellings and wood fires. We also carry out insurance claim investigations, so ring if that's what you need.

What we specialise in

Jobs that need gear most plumbers do not carry, or a registration most plumbers do not hold. Each has its own page.

CCTV drain inspections and fault locating

We put a camera down the drain and find out what's actually wrong before anyone starts digging. CCTV inspection and fault locating on sewer and stormwater across Napier, Hastings and Havelock North, with footage you can keep.

Pre-purchase plumbing inspections

A visual, non-invasive plumbing inspection before you buy a house in Hawke's Bay, and you get a written report. Nothing gets opened up, so it's what can be seen and assessed rather than a guarantee about what's behind the walls.

Backflow prevention

Inspection, testing and Form 12A certification for applicable BWoF backflow systems, carried out by a registered Independent Qualified Person (IQP). If your council has written to you about an annual test, this is it.

Solar hot water

Solar hot water is plumbing rather than electrical, so it's a plumber you want for it, not an electrician. We install and repair solar hot water across Hawke's Bay, and it works with your existing cylinder in most cases.

Granny flat plumbing and drainage

Plumbing and drainage for granny flats and minor dwellings across Hawke's Bay, including the compliance side of that work. Connecting to existing services is usually the part that decides what's straightforward and what isn't.

Wood fire installation

Full wood fire installations across Napier, Hastings and Havelock North, including the flue. If your fire runs a wetback it ties into your hot water cylinder, and that's our side of it too.

Where we work

We work across Napier, Hastings, Havelock North and the surrounding areas. That takes in Taradale, Ahuriri, Bay View, Flaxmere, Clive, Haumoana and out as far as Eskdale, Puketapu, Maraekakaho and Te Awanga. If you're not sure whether you're in range, ring and ask.
